Fire-Roasted Peppers & Tomato
(Appetizer Burgers)

Makes: 18 Hors-d’oeuvres

Ingredients:

1 box of BUBBA mini-burgers® (9-3 oz. burgers; cook frozen)
2 oz. your favorite dry seasoning
6 Italian plum tomatoes
6 bell peppers (all colors)
1 cup tomato sauce
1 French baguette, cut into 2” rounds and then toasted with garlic butter

Directions:

Pre-heat grill or pan to a medium heat or 325 degree F (recommended setting)*. Lightly season the BUBBA burgers with your favorite seasoning. Grill seasoned burgers 8-10 minutes & slice round (turn burger on its side and slice down the middle). On an open flame, grill peppers and tomatoes until skin is dark and starts to crack. Place grilled peppers and tomatoes into a brown paper bag for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove the peppers and tomatoes from bag and remove the skin. Once skin is removed, chop into a medium dice. Place burgers on the toasted bread rounds, and top with the tomato & pepper toppings. Serve as soon as possible.
